Lauren & Dionysios' Greek Island Wedding

Lauren and Dionysios got married on the beautiful island of Andros, on the secluded Vitali Beach.

It has not yet been discovered as a party location like close by Mykonos, so it is beautifully quiet and laid back, with some fab beaches.

Their pals at Kampos Beach Bar transformed their bar and kept the cocktails flowing (the best drinks I’ve ever had at a wedding!). They surrounded the party with loads of white flowers, festoon lights and good vibes.

A blue dip dye design was chosen for the stationery, to match the original invites and complement the ocean location.

We chose 600gsm Cranes Lettra paper to withstand the triple dipping and finished with blue calligraphy and a classic serif typeface.

The menus were layered with vellum paper and attached with a white wax seal as a nod to their original invites (we sent these out in 2019 but a little thing called Covid got in the way of the big day ☹️).

I was so thrilled to have helped with the stationery and be included in the wedding party. What a beautiful day! It has gone right in my memory box.

If you fancy taking a trip to Andros, the ferry is just a short 2 hour ride from Athens (which can be booked here), and I can highly recommend staying at Nikos and Chrisanthi’s tranquil Paradise Design Apartments in the centre of Batsi - you won’t find a nicer host, or a nicer view!

Louie Tilley x The Un-Wedding

I’m chuffed to announce I am now part of The Book Of Love; The Un-Wedding’s fab wedding directory. Think of it as a bible for folks wanting a non-traditional wedding.

They have everything covered from alternative wedding photographers, unique floristry, awesome mobile bars and even yurts, YURTS!

Go take a peep - there isn’t a twee ‘Live, Laugh, Love’ sign in sight! 😉

The Wedding Gallery Summer Soirée

The Wedding Gallery held their Summer Soirée at One Marylebone and asked me to create some giant lettered mirrors to say thank you to all their lovely suppliers...and they really were giant 7ft beasts which meant I was propped on a ladder!

Thanks to Sandra at Divine Day Photography for the lovely snaps!

We were serenaded by the Urban Soul Orchestra and Adrian Garcia + band in sweltering London sunshine!

Tipples came from Bloom Gin, Moët and The Cocktail Service (delicioussssss guys, seriously) and the garden was decorated with splendid sculptures from Bubblegum Balloons.

Sarah Smart Illustration painted all the lovely guests and we danced until we needed pizza from Lucabuca and flipflops.

It was so nice to meet all the other wedding suppliers and hear about why they chose the wedding industry; happy days, smiley people and every single wedding is unique. Here here! A pretty good Wednesday evening I'd say.

Helen & Chris' Countryside Wedding

Helen and Chris' wedding was held in the beautiful county of Essex and it was tipis and festoon lights galore. Not to mention a well stocked gin bar, gospel choir and welly throwing.

The marquee was decorated in ivy foliage, gypsophelia, candles and a whole host of gorgeous friends and family, including a very well behaved little 1 year old bridesmaid.

We created bespoke place names brush lettered in a gorgeous gold pigment on heavy hammered ivory card to complement the natural theme. Table plans were finished off with lots of lovely mini chalkboard details and signs directed the guests where to go.

Have a nose below at the lovely day and get in touch if you need help with lettering on the big day - just about anything is possible and weddings are my absolute favourite!

A Cressing Temple Wedding

I totally forgot about these little signs that I created for my best bud's wedding! It was a stunning day complete with Jenny Packham dress and 13th Century countryside barn setting. The sunshine shone ALL day (there were a few pink shoulders) and the bride and groom didn't stop smiling until they left in the wee small hours.

It was my FIRST ever wedding that I did lettering for and as a little bridesmaid, it has gone right in my memory box.

Kate & Simon's New Zealand wedding

Well you don't get much better than a party in sunny New Zealand do you?!

Kate & Simon got married in the gorgeous Old School Forest in the Bay of Plenty. What a ruddy dreamy setting.

Their theme was gold and mint, so we opted for metallic gold ink for brush lettering name settings, a big ole seating for eating table plan and lots of little chalkboard signs dotted around for guests.

This was an interesting one for logistics! The bride loved chalkboards, so I worked with some pretty nifty chalkboard vinyl so we could roll up the table plan and send it on the plane with her fabulous sister. It was popped in a beautiful gold frame and ta daaaaa, one table plan for 113 hungry Kiwi bellies :).

Here's some pics, and a huge thank you to the bride and groom, I am always very appreciative to have photos of their day shared with me.

A beautiful Greek wedding

It is not often I get to attend a wedding in such a lovely location AND do some lettering for it, totally spoilt! This wedding was held on the amazing island of Amorgos (any 'The Big Blue' film fans out there?)

We created some Greek lettering for some tags...

...and the tags got tied on to some gorgeous bergamot jam favours!

It was the prettiest setting everrrrr. And so I stayed there for an extra week. Just what the doctor ordered and how could I leave with this view?!
